werster has recently proven that this path is impossible on console due to a wall above the upper boundary. If anyone can prove otherwise I'll re-allow it.

I suggest you check not only on consoles and emulators, but also with the PC and Saturn (Original) versions of the game. Despite being nearly perfect ports of the game, the top of the screen behaves differently in various parts of the game, and given our new stance on emulation it may be worth allowing version differences in S3&K just as we do in Sonic CD and every other game on the site not part of the classic four.

It took me long enough for this information to finally get around to me, but the roof route in Carnival night 2 Tails is now considered legal, since mike89 did it on a Sega Genesis.

On a side note, I have two complaints:

#1: Credit where it's due, mike. That was werster's and my strat 100%.

#2: Why did no one bring this up sooner?
